Meet PJ Guarino
I’m PJ Guarino, founder and president of OnePoint Painting Company—a family-owned business built on decades of experience, hard work, and a deep passion for improving homes and lives through quality craftsmanship. My journey began while attending UC Davis, where I got my start with Student Painters and discovered a love for the trade. In 1995, after marrying into the Helu family, I teamed up with my brother-in-law, William Helu, to launch HSP Painting Company. Together, we expanded across California, Idaho, and Colorado, always striving to deliver skilled, professional, and customer-focused painting services.
Like many small business owners, we faced major challenges during the Great Recession. I relocated to Austin in 2011 to rebuild, this time with my children by my side. William continued running a successful operation in the Reno/Tahoe area.
By 2019, I saw a growing need in Austin for a team of high-performing contractors who shared our values of quality and service. That vision became OnePoint Contractors Group. Then, in 2023, I brought everything under one roof—merging our painting and contracting services into what is now OnePoint.
Today, we proudly serve homes and businesses throughout the Austin area with integrity, care, and a commitment to getting it right the first time.
